Spring Forward Transformation

One of  the first things we think about when Spring arrives is spring cleaning. Not only cleaning out the cobwebs in the attic but also cleaning out our closets and fashion cobwebs.

Do you sometimes feel like you are wearing the same fashions that you wore 15 - 20 years ago?  When is the last time you updated your closet to compliment changes in your style and sophistication?  Do the colors and styles you wear date you and make you look years older than you feel?  If you answered "yes" to any one or all of these questions,  it's time for your Spring Forward Transformation!


First take a long look at yourself in the mirror.....  Is your hair shinny and flowing? Your complexion is the next most important item on our Spring Forward agenda.  Your skin must radiate from the inside out.  Nothing says cobwebs like dry, patchy, rough skin. Which means first and foremost a healthy diet.  Start eating plenty of fresh fruits and veggies.  I don't mean drink them in juices, but actually eat 3 or 4 servings per day.  Also, add a multivitamin, vitamin D, and echinacea to your morning regime.  Getting enough of the proper vitamins will help to cut down on cravings for unhealthy snack foods.

In addition to diet, exercise is important to keep that glow in your cheeks.  Staying active is not as difficult as it sounds. During spring cleaning, running errands and cooking, incorporate your workout within these chores. If you bend over to pick up an items, do it 5 extra times.  When going on an errand, park a block away from the place of business.  When cooking, march in place in front of the stove or sink while washing dishes.  These are little tricks you can use to stay fit and eliminate another 5-10 years.
